APA - 3rd and 4th Grade News

A date to add is a field trip to the Swamp Rabbit game at Bon Secours Wellness Center on Wednesday, November 12. We will need drivers that day. We’ll leave school around 9:30 and should arrive back to school around 1:30.
The children did an amazing job singing in chapel on Friday. I’m glad so many of you were able to join us. We’ve been asked to sing in church next Sunday, November 2.
The children are invited to sing with Sunday School on November 23. This is the song we are going to sing for our Thanksgiving program.

A theme for the week is that God wants us to show love and forgiveness to others.
Joseph makes himself known to his brothers in Genesis 45. Joseph showed that he had forgiven his brothers. We also find out that God wants us to forgive others when they sin against us.
Another theme of the week is that God moves in mysterious ways to perform his wonders.
We read in Genesis chapter 46-50 that God cared for Jacob’s family and assured them of his promises. We can also trust in God’s care and promises.

3rd Grade - estimate length, tell time to the minute, comparing and subtracting word problems
4th Grade - fractions and mixed numbers on a number line, memory group of multiplication facts, nearest fourth on scale, capacity

On Thursday, 3rd grade will begin reading the novel Stone Fox. 4th grade continues their Who Was… book for a biography project.
