Classroom News and Notes

APA - 3rd and 4th Grade News

Date: 3/1/2026

Notes of Interest

  • Monday is Read Across America Day! To celebrate it, the kids will be reading most of the day.

    • They may dress in comfy clothes, including sweats if they wish.

    • They may bring a pillow and blanket to read with. (no stuffed animals, please)

    • Finally, they should bring their favorite picture books and a chapter book to read. Each child should have a pile of books to read.

Christ Light

  • God wants us to listen to our parents as they teach us about him. 1 Samuel 2, 4, and 7 share how God was angry with Eli because Eli did not discipline his sons. God expects parents to discipline their children when they sin. And God expects children to obey their parents.

  • I Samuel 8-11 shows Saul as a humble king who served God.  God wants us to be humble and to serve him.  One way we can serve God is by helping others.
