APA - 3rd and 4th Grade News

Notes of Interest 

 

• Please note that we plan to leave at 10:15AM for caroling tomorrow. Those of you driving, please arrive a few minutes early so we can get into vehicles. 

• Special dress days the last week before break include: Monday, December 15 - Dressy Christmas clothes for caroling or school uniform;  Thursday, December 18 - Christmas spirit day;  December 19 - Free dress Friday

Christ Light

• Our theme for this week is that God’s people worship Him.  Exodus 25-27,29, 30 and Leviticus 6,7 share how God wanted the Israelites to worship him and to offer sacrifices to him at the tabernacle.  God also wants us to gather together with other believers to worship him and to give him our offerings.  

• Leviticus 16 explains the use of the Day of Atonement to help the Israelites to remember that the Savior would come to take away their sins.  We rejoice that God has sent his Son, Jesus, to shed his blood to take away our sins.  Since our Lord became the ultimate sacrifice, we no longer need to make daily sacrifices as the Israelites did.

• 3rd grade - perimeter and patterns of 2 and 5

• 4th grade - multiply by three digit numbers and estimate

Reading

• Both grades will be learning from their textbooks this week.

• We will learn how conflict and cooperation shaped early communities.

• We will learn how plants use cones and flowers to reproduce.  We will also learn the life cycle of plants.
