Christ Light

The examples of our leaders influence us. 1 Kings 11-14 shares how, sadly, Solomon and Jeroboam led the Israelites to worship idols. We pray that our leaders do not lead us to sin against God.
-
Dealing with unbelievers is often difficult. 1 Kings 16-19 record the example of the prophet Elijah as he dealt with an unbelieving king and queen, Ahab and Jezebel, and the effect they had on the Israelites. God showed that He is the true God by sending fire to Elijah’s altar. God uses His Word today to show unbelievers that He is the true God. He helps us as we share His Word with unbelievers.
