Classroom News and Notes

APA - 3rd and 4th Grade News

Date: 1/18/2026

Notes of Interest

  • There is no school this Monday due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

  • If you have not returned the field trip permission form that were sent home last week, please return them by this Wednesday.

Upcoming Valentine Party

  • Looking ahead a few weeks to our Valentine’s Day observance on February 13,, we will plan to share our Valentines before our field trip.

  • Please have your child be sure to include all children in the whole class when writing valentines to avoid hurt feelings.

  • If you’d like to have your child make a creative way to collect their Valentines at home, that is fine. Otherwise, please send a plastic grocery bag to collect Valentines. These days Valentines often are bigger in size than just a small piece of paper.

Christ Light

  • This week our theme focuses on God encouraging His people with assurances of final victory.

  • Numbers 27, Deuteronomy 5,18,31, and 34 share how God reminded the Israelites of His promises and brought them safely into Canaan. God assures us that He will take us to the promised land of heaven. He encourages us through His Word as we wait for the day we will go there.

  • In Joshua 2 we read how God used Rahab to assure the Israelite spies of victory. God uses other Christians to assure us of our victory over sin, death, and the devil. We in turn can use God’s Word to encourage others.
