Welcome to Kindergarten 

Good Afternoon!

 

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and had a happy Easter celebrating our risen Savior. 

 

We have many fun things to look forward to as we enter the last stretch of the school year. Please look for two forms this week in your child's folder. One indicating partition Field Day on Friday, April 24th, and the other indicating participation on Entertainment Night, Thursday, May 14th.  Thanks!

 

The Penny War is over! Thank you for your generous donations.  We will sort the coins tomorrow and see what the Kindergarten total is.  The grand total will likely be revealed in chapel on Friday. 

 

Here's a peek at our week:

Christ Light stories - "David is King" (1st and 2nd Samuel) and " God Makes Solomon Wise" (1 Kings 3)

Reading - reading and writing words with vowel "u"; sight words "then", "good", and "say"

Math - working with number lines, numbers through 30, and spheres

Writing Workshop - We begin writing an original short story, "Lunchbox Surprise".

Science - This week we take a closer look at reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.
