Welcome to Kindergarten

Classroom News and Notes

Good Afternoon!

Happy MLK Day!  We spent some time on Friday learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his work of peacefully promoting kindness and fairness, and making the world a better place for everyone.

You should have found your child's second quarter report card packet in the home folder on Friday. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, or would like to touch base concerning your child's progress. The third quarter of the school year is when we really bridge the gap from foundational letter/sound recognition to applying these skills in reading and writing words and sentences, as well as developing basic math fluency. It's a big quarter!

The Kindergarten class sings this Friday during morning chapel. We hope you can join us.

APA's 100th Day of school is quickly approaching. We celebrate it on Wednesday, January 28th.   For fun, the children may dress up like they're 100 years old! There will also be special activities sprinkled throughout the day.

If you have not returned the permission form for our trip to see Elephant and Piggie's "We Are In A Play", please do so as soon as possible. The link for purchasing tickets has also been sent out.
