ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Pastor Duane Rodewald - Pastor/Administration Team 
Pastor Rodewald has been serving at Abiding Peace since 2004, and has over 30 years of pastoral ministry experience.  He has served congregations in Wisconsin and Michigan, and also served as the Dean of Students at Michigan Lutheran Seminary before coming to South Carolina.  Pastor is originally from Minnesota and received his pastoral training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Milwaukee, WI.  He and his wife Karen, who teaches at Abiding Peace Academy and is our director of Early Childhood Ministry, have been married for over 30 years and have three adult sons.  

 
Karen Rodewald (Administration Team, Director of Early Childhood Ministry and Elementary Teacher, Kindergarten)
Mrs. Karen Rodewald holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Martin Luther College and is an experienced musician. She has taught for over 25 years,  with 12 of those years teaching preschool. She is also trained and certified to administer the Gesell Developmental Observation assessment.

Kindergarten Teacher's Aide:  Mrs. Mandy Mullins
Zach Bloomquist (Administration Team, Elementary Teacher, Grades 4-5)
Mr. Zach Bloomquist holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a coaching minor from Martin Luther College. He has had experience with multigrade classrooms in various grade levels. He is in his third year of teaching at Abiding Peace Academy.  He is currently pursuing a master's degree in education. 
Lailah Stein (Elementary Teacher, Grades 6-8) 
Mrs. Lailah Stein grew up in Lansing, MI, and attended Martin Luther College, she studied Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish + Urban. She has served as a tutor at Michigan Lutheran Seminary teaching Spanish, and at Garden Homes in Milwaukee, teaching 7th grade. She is in her first year at Abiding Peace Academy. 
 
Haley Fricke (Elementary Teacher, Grades 2-3)
Miss. Haley Fricke grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and studied Elementary Education at Martin Luther College, where she eventually graduated in 2019. After that, she moved to Maryland, where she taught Kindergarten and first grade for four years! She is in her first year at Abiding Peace Academy. 

 
Daniel Granberg (Elementary Teacher, Grade 1-2)
Mr. Daniel Granberg holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Martin Luther College. He is in his fifth year teaching at Abiding Peace Academy.  He has previous experience working with a variety of grade levels and schools.  Mr. Granberg also holds an art camp each summer and teaches piano lessons at APA. 
 

PRESCHOOL
Christy Plous (Preschool Teacher, K4, 4-day class):  
Mrs. Christy Plous graduated with a degree in Education and a master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Kansas State University. She taught and coached for nearly 10 years before staying home with her 2 daughters. They have been members of Abiding Peace since moving here in 2021 from Houston, Texas. She is in her first year of teaching at Abiding Peace Academy. 

K4 teacher's aide:  Mrs. Marge Krueger
Jill Culp (Preschool Teacher, K4, 3-day class): 
Jill Culp holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University and a master's degree in Literacy from Furman University. She taught 3 and 4 years olds in multiple preschool settings for a couple of years before taking a nine year hiatus to have three children. This is her first year as a lead teacher at Abiding Peace, but she has previously been a teacher's aide in the K2 and K3 classes.

K4 teacher's aide: Mrs. Pam Miller
Laurel Warner (Preschool Teacher, K3): Laurel Warner moved from Indiana to the Greenville area with her husband and two daughters (ages 2 and 4) in the summer of 2021. Laurel has been teaching since her first 3K class in 2010. After years as a full-time teacher, she took a break to raise her own girls but continued teaching preschoolers (ages 3-5) in her church's Sunday school. This will be her second year teaching at Abiding Peace Academy.

K3 teacher's aide: Mrs. Nicole Sanders 
Eden Edwards (Preschool Teacher, K2)
Mrs. Eden Edwards is a Greenville, SC native. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force. She spent seven years as a stay-at-home mother to her three children (ages 5,6 &9) before going back to work as a preschool music teacher. She and her husband enjoy their free time at her children’s sports events and spending Summers in the low country. This is her first year teaching at Abiding Peace.
